EDUCATIONAL PROJECT AND IDENTITY

At Xaloc we understand comprehensive education as the complete development of each student: not only academically, but also personally, socially, physically and spiritually. We seek to form balanced people, with their own criteria, solid values and the ability to contribute to society.

The personal tutor accompanies each student individually, helping them in their academic and personal development. Through a close follow-up, it guides him in his studies, in the formation of habits and in decision-making, while also maintaining constant communication with the family, in the framework of our educational project.

At Xaloc, each student receives individualized attention from their teachers within an educational model that promotes their holistic development.

Our differentiated education model allows us to better adapt to each student's stage of development, interests, and way of learning, fostering more personalized support and more effective overall development.

In addition, from the moment they join the school, every student is assigned a personal tutor who accompanies and guides them throughout their entire educational journey, working closely with their family.

Xaloc is an educational initiative promoted by families committed to their children's education. The Christian formation offered at the school is entrusted to Opus Dei, which is responsible for providing spiritual and doctrinal guidance, always respecting the personal freedom of each student and family.

The International Baccalaureate (IB) brings to our school’s educational project (Primary, Secondary and Baccalaureate) a demanding, high-level academic education focused on critical thinking, an international mindset, and student autonomy. It also promotes the development of skills such as research, communication, and the ability to successfully face university and professional challenges.

ACADEMIC STAGES AND RESULTS

At Xaloc, languages are a key part of our educational project. The school is trilingual, with Spanish, Catalan and English, and places special emphasis on English, offering in-depth and continuous learning that enables students to achieve a high level of proficiency.

In addition, students have the opportunity to obtain official Cambridge certifications, which strengthen their academic preparation and provide them with the tools to succeed in a globalised world.

RELATIONSHIP WITH FAMILIES

We understand education as a shared responsibility with families, with whom we maintain a close and ongoing relationship throughout the entire school journey.

This support is provided through continuous communication, including personal meetings, academic follow-up, family training initiatives and educational guidance, with the aim of working together for the holistic development of each student, both academically and personally.

In addition, we encourage families to take an active part in school life and in the various activities of the educational community.

The main channels of communication with families are the Clickedu platform, through which academic follow-up and daily communication are carried out, as well as in-person meetings with the personal tutor and the guidance team, which take place each term or whenever families or teachers consider them necessary.

In addition, we maintain direct and close communication through information meetings, circulars and other regular school communication channels, with the aim of ensuring continuous and coordinated support for families.

We offer a variety of activities throughout the school year with the aim of supporting families in their educational role and strengthening their connection with the school community.

These include talks and training sessions led by education professionals and experts in different areas of interest for families, as well as meetings on current educational topics.

In addition, families take part in various aspects of school life, such as charitable initiatives, sports events and end-of-year celebrations.

We also have the GEF (Family Hiking Group), a joint initiative of Avantis, Pineda and Xaloc that organises one excursion each month, giving families the opportunity to spend time in nature, strengthen relationships and promote healthy habits in a welcoming and participative environment.

All this information is shared through Clickedu and our social media channels.
