Students from Xaloc Badalona and Xaloc L’Hospitalet joined forces to represent the school in a competition that brings together sport, school spirit and values, this year with the support of CAFÈS BOU.
This academic year, Xaloc took part for the second consecutive year in the Copa Colegial, the most important school basketball competition of the season. This edition was particularly meaningful, as it was the first time that students from Xaloc Badalona and Xaloc L’Hospitalet competed together as one team representing the school.
The event was also special thanks to the support of CAFÈS BOU, whose sponsorship reflects its commitment to school sports and to the educational values that are developed both on and off the court.
Founded in 1957, CAFÈS BOU is a well-established coffee brand dedicated to producing and distributing high-quality coffee. Its products—including coffee, chocolate and other specialties—are part of everyday life in many households. The company's logo on the team's jersey highlighted the support of businesses that believe in school sports, educational values and the Xaloc project.
The experience also included an important service and sustainability component. Sebastián Vargas, a PAI 5 student, took part in a used cooking oil recycling initiative as part of the Service as Action programme, following a proposal by Ekipolis in collaboration with the Copa Colegial. Thanks to this initiative, the team's registration fee for next year's competition will be fully covered.
The project was also made possible thanks to the collaboration of Mr. Raúl Calle and the school's kitchen staff. It is an initiative that brings together sport, service, responsibility and sustainability, promoting basketball while encouraging respect for the environment.

The Copa Colegial is much more than a basketball tournament. It strengthens the sense of belonging to the school and brings together students of different ages around a shared team. Over the years, the competition has expanded to several regions, including Catalonia and Andorra, and concludes with a nationwide final phase.
