The Xaloc Orientation Department is an internal service of educational, psychopedagogical and academic guidance, which attends to all the students of Xaloc and their families, in all the stages and teachings that are taught in the center.
The main tasks we carry out are to detect, assess, advise, inform and treat the educational needs that our students can present, both academically and emotionally.
For this we have the psychopedagogical advice of the EAP (Psychopedagogical Advice Teams of the Department of Education) and with the collaboration of the TALITA foundation.
The Attention to Diversity Plan contemplates the set of educational actions and measures, which guarantee the best response to the needs and differences of all and each of our students in an inclusive environment, offering real opportunities for learning in the ordinary educational context.
The Orientation Department is in charge of:
- Carry out individual psychopedagogical evaluations with the students who need it.
- Carry out general evaluations to improve the learning of our students and advise them on the itineraries to follow.
- Coordinate and guide measures of attention to diversity with educational reinforcements, curricular adaptations, individualized plans, referrals to specialists, etc.
- Cooperate with the teaching team in improving the learning process and in the achievement of basic competences.
- Facilitate school and professional guidance to students and families.
- Establish communication channels with external institutions and specialists working with students at the centre.
