Last weekend, the Sanctuary of Torreciudad hosted the 33rd Marian Family Day, a gathering that brings together thousands of families every year to celebrate their faith and devotion to the Virgin Mary. Among the participants, the presence of families linked to Xaloc stood out, as they offered an image of Our Lady of Montserrat, patron saint of Catalonia, as a sign of fidelity and love for the Virgin.
The Marian Family Day is an initiative launched in 1992 that seeks to strengthen family unity and pass on the Christian faith to new generations. The event includes solemn Masses, processions, children’s activities, and moments of community prayer, creating both a festive and spiritual atmosphere.
Thus, the Day not only reinforces the spiritual dimension of families but also becomes an intercultural and intergenerational meeting point, where faith is lived and shared in a vibrant way.
For the Xaloc families, taking part in this celebration and offering the image of Our Lady of Montserrat was a source of joy and pride, an experience that strengthens the bonds of faith and community.
