A day of nature, learning, and community engagement on the first hike of the school year

This Sunday marked the first excursion of the school year for the Family Hiking Group (GEF), a joint initiative of Avantis Pineda and Xaloc, with a route that led participating families to Taradell Castle. The day brought together 11 families under sunny weather, ideal for enjoying a 12 km walk surrounded by a beautiful autumn landscape.

During the route, children had the opportunity to discover strawberry trees, and all participants fully enjoyed the natural environment and shared time together. The views from the castle provided a highlight of the outing, offering a space for reflection and learning about the natural and historical surroundings.

This first outing of the school year reflects the values of GEF, promoting family bonding, outdoor learning, and local exploration, and demonstrates the commitment of Avantis Pineda and Xaloc to educational and formative activities that integrate nature, culture, and community participation.
