Our Primary teacher Fran Domínguez took part in IB Day with a session entitled “The Planner Comes Out of the Folder: Living Murals to Make Inquiry Visible in the PYP.”
Our Leadership Team attended IB Day, an annual gathering that brings together school leaders, coordinators and teachers from different IB World Schools to share experiences, exchange good practices and continue building collaborative networks.
As part of the event, our Primary teacher Fran Domínguez was invited to lead a session focused on the Primary Years Programme (PYP). Under the title “The Planner Comes Out of the Folder: Living Murals to Make Inquiry Visible in the PYP,” Fran shared how living murals can help make students’ inquiry process and learning journey more visible.
The proposal focuses on turning the planner into a living, visible and shared tool that accompanies the learning process and captures the questions, discoveries, connections and reflections that emerge in the classroom.
IB Day, organised by ACBIE, also included a tribute to Mr Varela, former president of the organisation, who was appointed honorary president. The event was attended by prominent members of the IB community, including Maripe Menéndez, Regional Manager of IB Iberia, and Antonio Muñoz, Senior Manager of IB World Schools.
A valuable opportunity to share what we do, learn from other schools and continue connecting with the wider IB educational community.
