The Department of Education acknowledges his outstanding academic performance with one of the most important distinctions in the Catalan education system.

Jordi Urós Cortés, a 2nd-year Baccalaureate student at Xaloc, has been awarded the Extraordinary Baccalaureate Award 2025, a distinction granted by the Department of Education and Vocational Training of the Government of Catalonia to students with an exceptional academic record.

With an average grade of 9.64, Jordi achieved one of the top academic records in Catalonia. This award not only represents official recognition of his effort and academic excellence, but also offers various benefits, such as the opportunity to participate in the National Baccalaureate Awards and a special mention in his academic transcript.

The Extraordinary Baccalaureate Awards are aimed at students with a minimum average of 8.75 who also pass a specific exam organized by the Department. Jordi has shown strong academic ability and a committed, consistent attitude throughout both years of the program.

At his school, both teachers and classmates have warmly congratulated him, highlighting his humility, dedication, and passion for learning.

This is the second consecutive year our school celebrates such an achievement: last year, student Pol Rengel was also awarded this prestigious honor, reinforcing a culture of excellence and personal growth in our classrooms.

Congratulations, Jordi! We are so proud of you!
