PAI 4 analyzes the relationship between space, time, and human decision-making

17/10/2025

With the IB MYP approach, Secondary School students investigate how place and time influence their decisions through an applied Geography project.

PAI 4 students have participated in a practical Geography (Individuals and Societies) project where they had to plan a world trip, taking into account destinations, costs, flights, schedules, and luggage. The activity combines analysis, reflection, and practical application, helping students understand how spatial and temporal context shapes human decisions.

The guiding inquiry question of the project is:

“To what extent do our choices depend on place, space, and time?”

Throughout the process, students have developed key skills such as planning, organization, decision-making, and time management, while also enhancing communication and collaborative work skills, which are fundamental in the IB framework.

This project exemplifies how the MYP integrates active and global learning with interdisciplinary approaches, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and understanding of the world from a reflective and applied perspective.
