A total of 45 students from 3rd to 6th grade joined this collective musical experience, performing the new cantata created by Jordi Cornudella and Tina Vallès.
This school year, the Xaloc Choir took part in the premiere of The Last Clock, the latest edition of Cantània, a participatory musical project aimed at students from 3rd to 6th grade that brings together thousands of children every year through music.
For this edition, the work was specially commissioned for the project, featuring music by Jordi Cornudella and a libretto by Tina Vallès. A total of 45 students from the Xaloc Choir participated in the final performances, bringing months of preparation and collaborative work to a successful conclusion.
Cantània is an educational and musical initiative that takes place throughout the school year and consists of several stages: training sessions for teachers, classroom work, and final concerts performed by the students themselves. Each year, a new work is created specifically for the project, designed to be performed by a large children's choir accompanied by professional musicians, with an approximate duration of 45 minutes.
The main goal of Cantània is to provide children with a unique artistic experience based on musical excellence, collective participation, and personal involvement. Year after year, the project becomes an unforgettable experience for students, giving them the opportunity to perform on stage and be part of a major shared artistic endeavor.
For the students of the Xaloc Choir, participating in The Last Clock has been an exceptional opportunity to grow musically and experience firsthand the magic of a large-scale choral production, sharing the stage with students from other schools and professional musicians.
