Families and children share a space of creativity, togetherness, and spirituality while preparing their Advent wreath.
Last week at Xaloc, we held our traditional Advent Wreath Workshop, an activity designed for families and children to enjoy a special moment together while creating their own wreath. This symbol, which accompanies the four weeks leading up to Christmas, represents preparation and hope for the birth of Jesus.
The session, lasting around ninety minutes, began with a brief explanation from the priest, who introduced the liturgical and spiritual meaning of the Advent wreath. At the end of the workshop, he performed the blessing of all the wreaths, a moment that was especially moving for both children and adults.
To make participation easier, we offered several dates, allowing each family to choose the one that best suited their schedule. We highlight the warm atmosphere, the excitement of the children, and the involvement of all families in this meaningful Advent activity.
Through initiatives like this, Xaloc continues to strengthen the bond between school and families and to keep alive the traditions that enrich this season.
