Xaloc Participates in the Código Escuela 4.0 Program

The school has participated in the Código Escuela 4.0 Program, funded by the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, and Sports, aiming to acquire robotics, programming, and computational language equipment.

The school has taken part in the Código Escuela 4.0 Program, funded by the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, and Sports, with a budget of €24,992.62 to acquire robotics, programming, and computational language equipment. The equipment is now available at the school and students are using it with very satisfactory results.

Below is a detailed list of the equipment acquired, classified according to the types outlined in the program’s regulations, along with a brief description of its educational use in each stage.

1. Primary Education
For Primary Education, a set of technological resources has been acquired to guide students progressively in robotics, programming, and computational thinking.

  • Early Cycle (1st & 2nd grade): Introduction to unplugged robotics programming and later block-based visual programming.

    • Robots with buttons and integrated sensors: MATATALAB STEAM CODING SET EDUCATION; extensions MUSICA, ARTIST, SENSOR; TALEBOT PRO. Application: developing logical sequences, creative challenges, and basic sensor interaction.

  • Middle and Upper Cycle (3rd-6th grade): Word block programming, robots with more sensors, and more complex algorithms. Inclusion of augmented and virtual reality, and content creation.

    • Key equipment: ELECFREAKS RING:BIT BRICKS PACK 6 IN 1, MICRO:BIT V2, CLASSVR VR headsets, AVANTIS + CLASSVR 3-year subscription. Application: building models, interactive projects, immersive exploration, and digital content creation.

2. Secondary Education (ESO)
The focus is on providing students with tools for advanced programming, transitioning from block-based to text-based languages such as Python and JavaScript.

  • Robotics and electronic boards: MICRO:BIT V2, ELECFREAKS kits, ARDUINO SENSOR KIT, ESP32 STEAMAKERS. Application: complex projects, IoT, automation, and advanced programming.

  • Virtual and augmented reality: META QUEST 3. Application: creating immersive content and 3D experiences.

  • Maker equipment: 3D printer BAMBU LAB P1S. Application: prototyping and producing physical objects, fostering creativity and innovation.

  • Specialized furniture: Storage and charging cabinet MMR ABACUS. Application: organizing, storing, and charging equipment, optimizing collaborative classroom spaces.
